The National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and its chapters including NASW-KY has been authorized by the Kentucky Board of Social Work (KBSW) to approve continuing education courses which are applicable to the renewal of the license. NASW and NASW-KY provide and approve continuing education units in Kentucky.

It is the responsibility of each social
worker to pursue their own continuing education – not the CEU provider,
the licensing board (KBSW), or the professional association (NASW).
Applications
The applications for review must be submitted no less than thirty (30) days prior to the date of your conference. If you request NASW-KY to approve a program that is scheduled to occur within (30) days of the CEU approval application submission, the payment submitted must include an additional expedited processing fee of $50. NASW-KY will not accept applications for approval within seven (7) days of the conference date. All expedited fees must be received before the conference date by mail or Fed Ex.
